I grew up in Colorado Springs and attended dental school at the University of Washington in Seattle. I then completed a three-year residency in orthodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and I have been practicing orthodontics in the Parker, Littleton, and Highlands Ranch since 1999. I am married and have 2 sons and a daughter. When not working, I love spending time with my family, and we especially enjoy cycling, hiking, gardening, and playing volleyball together.
I love orthodontics because I get to help young people and adults grow in confidence and self esteem. I also really enjoy solving complex orthodontic problems, and placing the teeth in the ideal position. where the teeth and the jaws are the healthiest. Most of all, I love orthodontics because I enjoy the relationships that are developed with the families that I treat.
My philosophy is to practice conservative orthodontic treatment. When possible, I wait for all the permanent teeth to erupt, which allows young patients to only need one phase of orthodontic treatment. In all cases, I simply try to treat all of my patients as I would my own family members.
